Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is the epic conclusion to a 40-plus year story arc that first started in 1977 with Star Wars: A New Hope. Fans who have stuck with the franchise since the very beginning have seen the rise and fall of the Skywalker family, and though things may have seemed bleak towards the end of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the Jedi and Skywalker legacy will continue to live on. | ‘Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’: EA Finally Unveils Story-Driven, Single-Player ‘Star Wars’ Game With New Trailer |
 |

It’s been nearly six years now since Disney signed an exclusive deal with Electronic Arts to handle all Star Wars video games. That deal has not gone very well, to say the least. It’s actually been kind of a shitshow. In those six years, only three games have been released—Battlefront, Battlefront II, and a mobile game—despite having multiple teams working on various projects. Fans have been begging for a good single-player Star Wars game, but EA kept focusing on the money-making multiplayer. They did, to be fair, add a single-player campaign to Battlefront II after outrage over there not being one in the first game. But it was primarily a multiplayer game, and we still haven’t gotten that story-driven, single-player game we’ve been craving. But now there’s a new hope. Today, a reveal trailer was released for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, a story-driven single-player action game which EA promises will have no microtransactions or loot boxes. You can check it out below.

| J.J. Abrams Almost Turned Down Chance To Direct ‘Star Wars: Episode IX’
One has to wonder what a Star Wars: Episode IX would have looked like under Colin Trevorrow‘s direction. But he was no longer attached to the project before production could even start. J.J. Abrams was then signed on to direct his second Star Wars feature. But for a franchise that looked like it was going to have different directors attached, Disney and Lucasfilm must have made a very enticing offer to the filmmaker. That’s because Abrams almost turned down Star Wars: Episode IX. More on the report below.
