| Lucasfilm Cancels Cartoon Network’s ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’; Planning New Animated Series
Just recently we heard that Tim Curry was joining the cast of Cartoon Network’s animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. But alas, things often change…and change quickly. Lucasfilm has announced that their acquisition by Disney and the focus on the new trilogy of movies starting with Star Wars Episode VII has led them to the decision that they will no longer be producing new episodes of The Clone Wars for Cartoon Network. They are, however, working on a brand new animated series that will be set in uncharted waters. | Tim Curry Joins The Cast Of ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’
Tim Curry, the star of such movies as Ridley Scott’s Legend, Stephen King’s It, Clue, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show, has officially joined the cast of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Curry takes over the role of Chancellor Palpatine/Darth Sidious after the passing of the role’s previous voice actor, Ian Abercrombie, over a year ago.
