A new Star Wars app was released by Disney today, and is available for FREE in the iTunes store right now! Available in IOS only (you need 7.1 or later), it is compatible with iPhone 5 and up, iPad, and iPod Touch.

Disney XD will be doing a massive celebration to commemorate everything Star Wars on May 4 – because any other day would just be any other day, but that is May The 4th, a special annual Star Wars observance. In addition, it has been confirmed that Star Wars: Rebels Season 2 will debut on June 20 at 9:00 PM EST/PST. The hour-long premiere will be a film of sorts, much like how the first two episodes of the first season were combined into one film.

The season will continue to rollout new episodes in the Fall. Below we got all the details on what you can expect to see on May 4.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Cruel Intentions star Sarah Michelle Gellar has joined the cast of Disney XD’s Star Wars animated series, Star Wars Rebels, as a recurring character who will be introduced in season two.

Who the actress is playing is not yet known, though she has already begun recording as can be seen in the image above. Her husband, Freddie Prinze Jr., voices the character Kanan Jarrus on the show.

Billy Dee Williams is coming back in the Star Wars universe!

The actor will reprise his role as Lando Calrissian in the latest episode of Disney XD’s animated series Star Wars Rebels. In the episode “Idiot’s Array,” Zeb loses the droid Chopper to a younger-looking Lando (Star Wars Rebels is a prequel) in a card game, so the crew of the Ghost make a dangerous run for the space pirate in exchange for getting the droid back.

At the Star Wars Rebels panel at New York Comic-Con on Saturday, fans were surprised and delighted when they got to preview Episode 1.5 “Rise of the Old Masters” set to air October 27, 2014 on Disney XD. The series takes place five years before Star Wars: A New Hope. Vanessa Marshall, who voices Hera Syndulla, a Twi’lek pilot rebel, spoke about what it’s like to play Hera, being a Star Wars fan, and answered some burning questions.
