| Video: Making The ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Props Most Can’t Afford
A video has been released showing the making of some ultra cool Star Wars: The Force Awakens Ultimate Studio Edition props made by a company that actually worked on the props for the movie itself. These collectibles include replicas of Darth Vader’s damaged helmet, Rey’s staff, and Finn’s blood-marked stormtrooper helmet. If you’re a Star Wars fanatic who loves to purchase collectibles and prop replicas, you’re going to want to get your hands on these bad boys. They’re about as good as you can get apart from actually getting your hands on official props. But unfortunately, not many fans will easily be able to afford them. You can find more information, including where to buy them, and see the video of some of them being made below.

| Star Wars Day: And Then There Were Seven |
 |

I have had a tough time this year coming up with a topic for this most important date, May The 4th, aka Star Wars Day. So I’m going to just speak from the heart about the tragedy that befell my family thanks to my own selfishness and thoughtlessness. Beware, for this could happen to you, too! A year ago, I wrote a piece about how my daughter had recently discovered and become enamored with Star Wars, or at least the six films we had at that time. I fixated, yes I chose that word correctly, on her love of the franchise and how I felt vindicated in raising this amazing little mini-me. I spoke longingly of that which once was and my hopes of what might be. All of this happened over half a year before the new film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, came to theaters near us all. I wrote how I respected creator George Lucas for his vision, if not for his revisions. I did all of this before I saw the new film. The new film that Disney created.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Studio: Walt Disney Pictures
Release Date: April 5, 2016 Star Wars: The Force Awakens began as my most anticipated movie of 2015 and ended being my favorite film of the year. While seeing director J.J. Abrams‘ newest installment in the Star Wars franchise in IMAX was a delight, viewing the film in Blu-ray at home multiple times was just as entertaining. Matter of fact, since the Blu-ray Combo Pack comes with a Digital HD copy, I also enjoyed viewing it on my iPhone. Written by Lawrence Kasdan, J.J. Abrams, and Michael Arndt, the new film takes place 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi, the final film in George Lucas’ original trilogy that saw the Rebel Alliance finally overthrow the Empire. Han Solo (Harrison Ford) is still flying around hustling his way through the galaxy with his trusty co-pilot and friend Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew), while his love Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher) leads a small resistance group against The First Order, an offshoot of the Empire backed by a Darth Vader-obsessed Sith named Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).
