
Well now — no one saw this one coming.
After all of that madness with NBC, The Tonight Show, and Jay Leno ended with Conan O’Brien without a job, we all knew he would eventually end up somewhere else. At the time, and equally as much since then, it appeared that the likely destination of O’Brien would be Fox, who had been trying to break into the late night talk show game for a long while now and had been courting the popular host.
It would appear now that something did not go right, as TBS has sent out a press release reporting that they have officially acquired Conan for a new show that will begin in November. The show will air Monday through Thursday at 11PM and will be followed by George Lopez’s Lopez Tonight, which will move back to the 12AM time slot. This sets up what many think to be a strong 1-2 combo for the TBS late night lineup.
