| At ‘LOST’s End: A 5 Controversy, May 23rd, 2010
May 23rd, 2010 marked the end of one of the most talked about shows on television – ABC’s LOST. Created by JJ Abrams, Damon Lindelof, and Jeffrey Lieber, this supernateral, mystical, mythological, theological, science fictional drama relied on flashbacks and eventual flashforwards, mixed with the present, to tell watercooler television. When it ended 5 years ago today, it sparked outrageous controversy, reminiscient of the outcry at The Sopranos ending, three years before. Still today (and I think it still will be 20 years from now), there remains such a divide between those who loved and those who hated the series, especially that unexpected ending. For the most part, the majority of viewers tend to land on one side of endings – Dexter, most hated, while Sons Of Anarchy, most loved. Not so with this show. Which side did you fall on?

| Lance Henriksen Wants ‘Millennium’ Movie |

Out of the realm of television from the 1990s, Chris Carter‘s Millennium has to be my favorite. An offshoot from The X-Files, the show focused on Frank Black – played by Lance Henriksen – working for a group known only as the Millennium Group, who consults the FBI and local law enforcement on odd crimes and serial killers. I’ve often made the case for the possibility of a Millennium movie, continuing from where the show left off – and now Henriksen echoes those sentiments of the cult following of the series. Through press appearances for the upcoming animated series of TRON: Uprising, Henriksen let the cat out of the bag to Coming Soon about his hopes for a Millennium film.

| NBC Picks Up J.J. Abrams’ Series With ‘LOST’ Stars Michael Emerson & Terry O’Quinn
After the end of LOST, which still has many of us in a deep depression, it was joked that stars Michael Emerson (Benjamin Linus) and Terry O’Quinn (John Locke) should get a show together. That joke was a little more than a joke, and it was recently revealed that producer J.J. Abrams was revving up to pitch a brand new show featuring Emerson and O’Quinn to networks. Apparently the pitch was well-received, with news now that NBC has won a bidding war — which did include Lost network ABC coming close — landing them the series. Not many details have been revealed about the show, which is currently being called Odd Jobs, but it is said to feature the two actors as former special ops agents. Maybe something along the lines of the movie Red, with retired agents still doing jobs on the side?

| Geek Gear: What Would John Locke Do? ‘LOST’ T-Shirt |
 |

The folks over at TeeFury have an interesting way of doing things. For those of you who are not aware of them, they have one unique t-shirt each and every day. This shirt goes up for sale at midnight on the button for the universal price of $9, and at midnight 24-hours later (or when it is sold out), it disappears into a vortex and is never ever seen again…EVER. Today’s design comes from the world of ABC’s LOST, which is set to begin their sixth and final season this Tuesday night. The shirt takes one of TV’s more popular (and mysterious) characters, John Locke (Terry O’Quinn), and begs the question “What Would John Locke Do?” and leaves us to ponder quietly. Keep in mind that this one day is the only chance you’ll ever have to acquire this shirt and show it off to jealous friends. This is a depressing thing for some people; there is no doubt that many with empty pockets have ventured to the site and saw something magical like this that slips their grasp and becomes a dream. But for those of you who have pocket financing or maybe an unexplored couch, this is one of those shirts that needs to be owned! I know I will be.
