Claudia Kim in Avengers: Age of Ultron

While there is still the same lack of strings on Ultron as we’ve heard about before, there are some new things to see in a new extended trailer for Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. Blink though and you’ll miss the few new scenes blended in with the clip that premiered a couple of weeks ago. For instance we finally can confirm once and for all just who the mystery woman is at the Avenger’s party, and it’s Korean actress Claudia Kim. We also get Black Widow examining Loki’s scepter from the first film and some extra footage of Tony Stark in the suit. Otherwise, it’s a couple more seconds of Ultron’s monologue and little else. Notably still absent is The Vision (Paul Bettany).

Nevertheless, it’s a great chance to watch the trailer for the 50th plus time (I wish I was exaggerating) and see just a few more seconds of the eagerly awaited sequel due in May of 2015. You can watch it below.

You can watch the trailer in all its fuzzy glory here below.

Was The Plot Of ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ Inspired By A 1957 Gumby Cartoon?

Gumby

Did you know that Christopher Nolan based his screenplay for Inception on a Scrooge McDuck comic? Were you aware that James Cameron got the idea for The Terminator by ripping off a few Harlan Ellison short stories? Cameron might have gotten away with the unacknowledged plagiarism if he hadn’t shot his mouth off about it an interview around the time of the film’s release.

Inspiration can be found in the most unexpected places. Take for instance the upcoming summer 2015 blockbuster Avengers: Age of Ultron. The titular villain is a robotic menace (played by James Spader) originally created by Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) to serve as a global peacekeeping program so that he and the other Avengers can breathe a little. When Ultron becomes self-aware and declares that the human race is the real enemy Earth’s Mightiest Heroes must come together to save the world from the horror that Stark has inadvertently wrought.

Avengers: Age of Ultron

So in the last few hours the first trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron leaked. It was originally supposed to debut during next week’s episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but Marvel and Disney have responded to the leak in the best way possible. No they didn’t plug the leak or erase the mirrored copies of the trailers from YouTube or DailyMotion. Instead, they posted the actual official trailer, in HD, plus they released the first poster. And they also responded to the leak in a very joking manner.

Hit the jump to check out the first trailer and poster for Avengers: Age of Ultron, plus Marvel’s Twitter response.
