| Fan Starts Petition For Stand Alone Loki Movie; Nearing 20,000 Signatures
People love Loki. This is not something many villains can say, but Loki, who appears in Thor, The Avengers, and upcoming sequel Thor: The Dark World, is not your average villain. This is largely thanks to actor Tom Hiddleston, who portrays the Asgardian god in all three movies. Hiddleston is so popular as Loki, in fact, that a petition has been created to try and get Marvel to make a stand alone Loki movie. Petitions are made all the time, of course, and rarely given a second look. But so far this particular petition has rapidly obtained support from all around the globe, quickly rising to almost 19,000 signatures as of the writing of this post, and has been covered by numerous news outlets.

| What’s Up With Natalie Portman In The New ‘Thor: The Dark World’ Poster?
Marvel Studios has released a new character poster for Thor: The Dark World featuring Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and his human love interest Jane, played by Natalie Portman. One look at this poster will have you wondering what the hell is going on with Natalie Portman and why would this image even be approved for release? I can’t even imagine why they apparently photoshopped Portman’s head on a barbie doll or why her facial expression is so terrible. And my only guess as to why it was released like this would be that it will get people talking, and it sure has. I expect this one to be on every Photoshop Disasters site out there. I likely would not even have bothered to post to about it had I not been so mesmerized by its hideousness. So, job well done, Marvel. Check out the full poster here below.

| D23 Expo: New Footage From ‘Thor: The Dark World’ With Natalie Portman
Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, and Tom Hiddleston appeared with Marvel’s Kevin Feige to discuss Thor: The Dark World at today’s D23 Expo live-action studio presentation in Anaheim, CA. While only some new footage, which showcased Portman’s Jane, was shown beyond the recently-released trailer, the sequel shows signs of epicness. The first scene shared found a rumbling in a woods-set environment, full of explosions and then massive sword-fighting. Thor made a most timely and mighty entrance, using his hammer to destroy the scene. Parts of this have already been shown in the trailer, but this expanded on the already-revealed footage. Then Feige shared the aforementioned trailer.

| Watch Now: The Second Trailer For Marvel’s ‘Thor: The Dark World’
Amid all the reported behind the scenes problems and reshoots, Thor: The Dark World looks mildly impressive, expanding the Marvel Cinematic World by exploring new realms. A second trailer has been released for the sequel, which you can watch here below. Like every Marvel hero, there is some force that puts the world or their love interest in some sort of danger, and only he has the power to stop it. There are epic worlds, amazing set pieces, and let’s not for get the action sequences. All those epic battles and threats of multi-realm destruction, and still we do not know what Maliketh (Christopher Eccleston) has planned for Thor in this new movie. We briefly see him make a threat to someone very close to Thor in the first trailer, but other than that, we don’t quite know what his motivation is. Which is fine. I think it worked wonderfully for Iron Man 3.

| SDCC 2013: Loki Takes Over The ‘Thor: The Dark World’ Panel
Marvel Studios knows what they’re doing when it comes to San Diego Comic-Con panels and it was no different today when Marvel Studios president and producer Kevin Feige showed off a ton of footage from Thor: The Dark World, the much anticipated next film in the Marvel film universe. Tom Hiddleston was the first to come out in full Loki regalia, and had the crowd in the palm of his hand from the word go. He taunted the crowd for waiting in line for Hall H, and said so in true Shakespearian style. You could tell that Hiddleston was loving every minute (having to hold back laughter) and promised that he would present the Avengers if the crowd would acknowledge him as leader by saying his name, which the fans were more that happy to do, now becoming enlisted in Loki’s Army. Loki’s new minions were rewarded for loyalty by being shown a brand new trailer for Thor: The Dark World.
