There is a lot of movies to look forward to in 2017. A solo Star Wars is on the way, Spider-Man is coming home, and we’re getting another Thor sequel! Coming in November, Thor: Ragnarok is the third movie featuring Marvel’s Thor, played again by Chris Hemsworth, with several other stars reprising their MCU roles, along with new additions to the cast. The biggest addition this go around is actually the answer to a big question from 2014’s Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron… “Where did the Hulk go?” We now have the official synopsis for Thor: Ragnarok, which answers just that.

Check out the official synopsis here below, along with a newly released set image showing director Taika Waititi with Hemsworth in full Thor regalia.

Planet Hulk

Any hopes of a solo Hulk film have been continually shot down time and time again, and it doesn’t look like the character will be getting one anytime soon. However, that isn’t stopping Marvel Studios from finding creative ways to incorporate Hulk story arcs into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Rumors of Hulk appearing in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 supported the idea that we would get to see a Planet Hulk arc on the big screen. James Gunn quickly shot them down. But those rumors quickly popped back up when it was announced that Hulk would appear in Thor: Ragnarok.

We saw hints of Planet Hulk when we saw concept art of Hulk wearing his signature gladiator armor. Now after months of rumors and speculation, director Taika Waititi has confirmed Thor: Ragnarok will be using elements of Planet Hulk by saying audiences will be paying a visit to the gladiator planet Sakaar. Check out the full story below.

Kong: Skull Island Final Trailer

Back in July during San Diego Comic-Con the first trailer for Kong: Skull Island was released to the masses. The movie is directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts (The Kings of Summer), and stars Tom Hiddleston (Thor, Crimson Peak), Brie Larson (Room, United States of Tara), Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction, The Hateful Eight), John Goodman (10 Cloverfield Lane, Monsters Inc.), Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton, The Walking Dead), Toby Kebbell (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Warcraft), Jason Mitchell (Straight Outta Compton, Keanu), Shea Whigham (Boardwalk Empire, True Detective), and John C. Reilly (Step Brothers, Wreck-It Ralph).

Now the official trailer for the movie has been unleashed by Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures, and can be seen below. The new trailer is only slightly longer than the first trailer’s 2:19 run time, but includes a bunch of good looks at King Kong, who we previously only had one good peek at in that recent image, as well as some other creatures who call Skull Island home. In addition to the new trailer, a pair of new posters have also been released. Continue below to check them out.

Kong Skull Island first image

The marketing campaign for Kong: Skull Island has been unusually quiet. But perhaps that is the quiet before the storm.

After teasing us with the first image and some footage at SDCC and dropping a few hints at an inevitable clash between himself and Godzilla, Warner Bros. has released our first look at the iconic ape for a new generation. Check it out below.

Thor: Ragnarok Logo

All of Marvel Studios’ films have a different tone and vibe to them, each of which makes them special and unique in their own way. But one particular title fans are interested in is Thor: Ragnarok. When the studio first premiered the new look of the title at San Diego Comic-Con this year, it got fans talking. Soon enough, we got a better idea of what kind of tone to expect when it was confirmed that Devo artist Mark Mothersbaugh was brought in to do the score.

The film will hit theaters next year, so expect Marvel to kick off the marketing campaign soon after Doctor Strange. But director Taika Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows) is getting a bit of a head start by talking a little about the film. Check out what he had to say below.
