‘Star Wars’ Credits, ‘True Detective’ Style (Video)
|
|
HBO’s True Detective season one had an excellent opening credits sequence to go with how awesome the show itself was. This is one of the not so good things about it being an anthology series, as the opening credits has to be changed with each new season to fit the new cast, story, and so on.
But despite the fact that season two, complete with its very own opening credits sequence, has already come and gone, the first season’s opening credits are still being enjoyed. In honor of the second season finale recently, a video was created combining the odd couple pairing of none other than Star Wars with the True Detective season one opening. Basically, it’s the same presentation and same song, except with Star Wars characters and actors’ names. Even Hayden Christensen gets a nod, believe it or not. You remember that guy, right? Anyone? Bueller?
You can check out the video below along with the original (slightly NSFW) opening credits for comparison.

The ‘True Detective’ Christmas Special (Video)
When it comes to TV holiday specials, they usually are done with sitcoms and animated series and such with shows like Doctor Who and Sherlock also thrown in for good measure.
But what if even the most dramatic of TV shows, such as HBO’s True Detective, were to have their very own Christmas special. What might that look like? We’ll never know for sure, but a new video from YouTube channel Heck Bender might just offer the best example.
You can check out the amusing video (if you’re familiar with the first season of the show and the characters Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey played) below.
