Abominable
Director: Jill Culton
Writer: Jill Culton
Cast: Chloe Bennet, Albert Tsai, Tenzing Norgay Trainor, Eddie Izzard, Sarah Paulson, Tsai Chin, Michelle Wong
Distributor: Universal Pictures
Rated PG | Minutes: 97 Minutes
Release Date: September 27, 2019 The DreamWorks Animation and Pearl Studios’ animated feature Abominable may play it too safe and not take any kind of risk as it treads some familiar ground, but it still has as much heart and emotional weight as some of the other releases from its rivals. Still, there is no denying that it is beautifully animated as it makes great use of a wide range of colors and light tones. Blend that with soaring music, and Abominable is something anyone of any age can fully enjoy from start to finish. My review below.

| Movie Review: Good Boys
Good Boys
Director: Gene Stupnitsky
Writer: Gene Stupnitsky, Lee Eisenberg
Cast: Jacob Tremblay, Brady Noon, Keith L. Williams, Will Forte, Molly Gordon, Lil Rel Howery, Retta
Distributor: Universal Pictures
Rated R | Minutes: 90
Release Date: August 16, 2019 The novelty of hearing kids curse and them getting into all sorts of serious trouble hasn’t worn off. But it can when the comedy doesn’t stick. So much of Gene Stupnitsky‘s Good Boys, relies on its three leads Jacob Tremblay, Brady Noon, and Keith L. Williams trying to be funny based on cringe-worthy humor. The trouble is, not only does the film have very few laughs, it lacks heart. As such, they squander a talented cast. My full review below.

| ‘Last Christmas’ Trailer: Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding Find Holiday Romance
There are many songs that a person can add to their holiday season playlist, and you’d be very likely to find George Michael‘s “Last Christmas” on a lot of them. That same song will serve as the title for Paul Feig‘s romantic comedy Last Christmas, starring Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones, Solo: A Star Wars Story) and Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians, A Simple Plan). In the film, Kate (Clarke) is a struggling singer with a troubled past who works at a year-long Christmas shop. Though a series of bad decisions seems to follow her wherever she goes, she finds Tom (Golding), a person who sees through all her flaws and helps her find the joys in life despite her cynical disposition. Check out the full trailer below.
