RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET

Ralph Breaks the Internet is the Disney Animation Studio sequel to 2012’s Wreck-It Ralph. In it, Ralph (John C. Reilly) must venture to a world where no arcade game sprite has been before, the Internet. With the help of the always energetic Vanellope (Sarah Silverman), the two must search for a rare Sugar Rush game replacement part or risk losing the machine, entirely. Along their journey, they will come across new technological advances like Yesss (Taraji P. Henson), an algorithm that determines what’s popular. But the Internet is so much bigger than they originally thought, and they will be thrust into a larger than life world that may or may not survive Ralph’s wrecking.

We got a chance to join our fellow journalists to talk to directors Rich Moore and Phil Johnston, and producer Clark Spencer. During the Q&A portion of the early preview, they talked about some of the inspiration behind the film, Ralph and Vanellope’s new journey, and what obstacles they must overcome. There may be some slight spoilers ahead, but nothing too revealing. Check out what they had to say below.

RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET

Last month, Disney invited a select group of journalists to Walt Disney Animation Studios in Burbank, CA, where they previewed Ralph Breaks the Internet, the sequel to 2012’s Wreck-It Ralph. This is one of the first major theatrical animated sequels Disney will be releasing. Set in a new world outside of the Mr. Litwak’s arcade, Ralph (John C. Reilly) and Vanellope (Sarah Silverman) embark on a quest to find a replacement part for Vanellope’s game Sugar Rush on the Internet. On their journey, they will see that the Internet is much larger than anything they’ve ever imagined.

We were able to share with you some of the things we learned about the upcoming sequel. Now I sit down for a one on three interview with Josie Trinidad (head of story), Jason Hand (story artist) and Natalie Nourigat (story artist) to talk about developing a story like Ralph Breaks the Internet, making sure their voices are heard during discussions, what stays on and what gets thrown out, saving the character Knowsmore, and more. Check out our interview with the story team below.

RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET

There is a lot of work that goes into animating a film like Ralph Breaks the Internet. And the highly anticipated Wreck-It Ralph sequel had to bring in something new and fresh to keep fans and audiences interested. So what better way to do that than to take Ralph (John C. Reilly) and Vanellope (Sarah Silverman) out of Mr. Litwak’s Arcade, and throw them into the Internet. Seriously, how much damage could lovable arcade misfits cause? Well, as the title suggests, quite a lot.

We got a chance to join our fellow journalists to catch a sneak peek of Ralph Breaks the Internet. While a lot of the footage was still rough and unfinished, it looked like the sequel will be a promising follow-up. During our time, we got to talk to different teams who contributed to the film, including the story, environment, and more. So how frequently does the story team have to collaborate with directors Rich Moore and Phil Johnston? How do they create those environments? How do you visualize the Internet? Find out below with 50 Things You Need To Know About Ralph Breaks The Internet.

Slaughter Race in Ralph Breaks The Internet

Ralph Breaks The Internet is expected to be yet another heartwarming entertaining film. The sequel to Wreck-It Ralph sees its titular character (John C. Reilly) joining Vanellope (Sarah Silverman) going on an online adventure to find a missing part for the Sugar Rush racing game. What they don’t realize is the Internet is a lot bigger than they originally thought, and finding that missing part proves to be difficult. So naturally, they will have to rely on the help of some new friends.

We already saw a sneak peek at Shank, who will be voiced by Gal Gadot. This new character is a tough and talented driver in an intense and gritty online racing game called Slaughter Race. She is impressed by the spirited Vanellope, who feels at home when participating in the dystopian Slaughter Race. And now Disney has released a sneak peek teaser video of what kind of racing you can expect to see in the Death Race-inspired world. Check it out here below.
