Hugh Jackman Thinks Tom Hardy Could Replace Him As Wolverine
|
|
It doesn’t come as a complete surprise that Hugh Jackman will no longer be bearing those adamantium claws after the third and final Wolverine. The actor has stated that the final installment of the trilogy would be the last time he would play as the iconic X-Men character, which obviously means that Fox would need to find a suitable replacement when the next X-Men or Wolverine film comes around.
But because of the mutant’s slow aging ability as well as the fact that the franchise has introduced time-travel to their cinematic universe, the writer(s) could explain why the new Wolverine looks so different from the old one. And with the rumors that X-Men: Apocalypse and Wolverine 3 would bring an end to Bryan Singer’s X-Men universe, it’s a perfect time to find some new blood.
While on the press tour for Pan, Jackman was asked about who he thinks would be perfect as his replacement. According to him its Mad Max: Fury Road star Tom Hardy. More on the story below.

Deadpool, Gambit, and X-Men Crossovers A Possibility Says Simon Kinberg
The events of X-Men: Days of Future Past reset the X-Men film franchise’s timeline from the first trilogy to its Wolverine spinoffs. With Deadpool and Gambit now separate entities that exist in the same universe as the X-Men, there is a strong possibility that crossovers could happen — at least it’s more likely to happen than a crossover with the Fantastic Four.
X-Men writer and producer Simon Kinberg is over at the Toronto International Film Festival to help promote The Martian, and he teased such an idea, saying “there will be interplay between different characters in different movies.” Check out all of his comments on the possible crossover below.

‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Will Have A Mutant Fight Club Says Bryan Singer
The first rule of Fight Club is that you don’t talk about Fight Club. But how could someone not break that rule when it involves mutants? In the many X-Men and Wolverine films we’ve seen, the mutants always seem to be at odds, with the human factor also posing a threat to peace between mutants and Homo sapiens. Each mutant conflict is almost always for the survival of humanity, but at times when we see Professor X and Magneto on opposing sides it’s for their respective ideology/
Now X-Men: Apocalypse will bring in a new fight to the mutants. A mutant fight club will be seen in the upcoming sequel according to director Bryan Singer. More on the story and images below.

X-Men / Fantastic Four Crossover “In Play” Says Bryan Singer
Though Disney owns a majority of the Marvel properties, and is sharing Spider-Man with Sony, they don’t own the rights to X-Men and Fantastic Four. Those two belong to Fox.
While Disney and Marvel can expand on characters through films and televised series connecting them to the MCU, Fox doesn’t share that luxury, and are confined to their own universe. It only makes sense that they build their own version of the MCU using what they have, all culminating in a mega crossover event between the two superhero teams al a Marvel Studios’ The Avengers.
