On Friday July 1, a group of mischievous comic book geeks, led in part by the hilarious guys over at Let’s Be Friends Again, will make their way to the local Dunkin’ Donuts to participate in The Pact.
What is “The Pact” you ask? Well, The Pact is an agreement amongst several comic book geeks to chronicle their adventures to Dunkin’ Donuts to purchase the all new Captain America-themed donuts. The Pact has garnered a lot of support amongst the comics-reading Internet, as can be seen by searching #THEPACT on Twitter, and you can join too! To participate, all you need to do is simply tweet Let’s Be Friends Again (@LBFAINC) with the hashtag #THEPACT or send them a message on their Facebook page. Pictures of yourself with the donuts are a plus, and while your at it, grab one of the many other Captain America-themed products, if you’re so inclined.
The Pact is in no way sponsored or supported by the pastry chain, it’s just a simple way for us comic fans to have some fun with each other over the Internet.
“The Pact” was one of the episodes in the “New Gods” series by Jack Kirby (Cap. America illustrator). It’s the one that tells the story of how Orion and Mr. Miracle got to be on New Genesis and Apocalypse. For me, it’s the greatest comic book ever, full stop.
You may have noticed that we're now AD FREE! Please support Geeks of Doom by using the Amazon Affiliate link above. All of our proceeds from the program go toward maintaining this site.
