Sky Showbiz has gotten their hands on the first peek at Peter Sarsgaard on the set of the upcoming DC Comics adaptation, Green Lantern.
Sarsgaard will be playing Hector Hammond, a pathologist who stumbles upon some pieces of a meteor that severely deform his head, but give him unbelievable telekinetic powers (click image above to see Spanish Hector Hammond!). He eventually becomes one of the primary enemies to the Green Lantern. He’s also the son of Senator Hammond (played by Tim Robbins), who has never really seen eye-to-eye with his son.

As you will see in the image, they certainly didn’t hold back when it comes to the whole deformed head situation. This is, of course, just walking around on the set — that’s not what he’ll be wearing in the movie and there’s likely going to be a lot more effect added to the head you see there.
The movie also stars Ryan Reynolds, who is playing the Green Lantern, Hal Jordan. The female lead, Carol Ferris, will be played by Blake Lively.
