DC Entertainment has given us a first look at the upcoming Batman: Year One animated film, which is scheduled to hit stores later in the year. The video is primarily a showcase of the animation style for the feature film and how closely it paid tribute to David Mazzucchelli’s brilliant artwork from the comic book. In addition, the video also has some of the voice actors, DC Executives, and creative minds behind the project discussing the importance of the comic and the specific characterizations of each of the main players in the story.
Watch the video, which is included on the DVD/Blu-ray of DC’s new animated feature Green Lantern: Emerald Knights, here below.
I’ve been looking forward to the Batman: Year One feature film since it was teased at San Diego Comic Con last year. And I’m genuinely excited about it for many reasons. The comic is easily one of my favorites of all time, and DC’s animated team has yet to produce a true disappointment in the animated film. Not to mention the fact, all the people behind this project seem to enjoy and respect the source material. This is a direct adaptation, so let’s see how they make their mark on this classic tale.
