The battle between Lord Henry Baltimore and the creatures of evil continues.
In Baltimore: The Curse Bells #2, Lord Henry Baltimore continues his search for the vampire that ultimately ruined his life: the one-eyed vampire known as Haigus. While searching for Haigus, Baltimore and his new accomplice, Mr. Hodge, investigate a castle that may have evil inhabiting it. While searching the castle, Baltimore comes across a ritual involving a pregnant woman and evil has a plan to raise the dead.
The first issue of this new miniseries was an excellent start to the continuing adventures of Lord Henry Baltimore. With issue #2, more pieces are added to this unique puzzle of a story. Baltimore is hellbent on finding Haigus and through searching for him, Baltimore keeps getting himself into sticky situations. I really like the direction that writers Mike Mignola and Christopher Golden are sending Baltimore. These side adventures are connecting a larger picture that is going to be one hell of a story.
Artist Ben Stenbeck continues to bring a unique flare to this engaging story. The colors by Dave Stewart are excellent as always. The combination of Stenbeck’s art and Stewart’s colors make this comic something that is really fun and pretty to look at.
Overall, Baltimore: The Curse Bells #2 continues a fantastic story of evil and the one guy who hunts it. If you’re a fan of the supernatural genre, then this is a comic that you should be reading. You will not be disappointed.
