Arkham City

Hellllllllooooo nurse! Warner Bros. Games, DC Entertainment, and Rocksteady have released a brand new Batman: Arkham City trailer this week that focuses on the Joker, and I’ve gotta tell ya… it gets me kind of hot.

Check it out here below.

Now, anyone who has met me or read anything I’ve written should know two things: I love professional wrestling and I love Batman even more. Not that this has anything to do with professional wrestling, but I just wanted to bring that up real quick. But you know what this does have to do with? Batman. That’s right, Batman. And since I love Batman so much, it should go without saying that acting like Batman in 2009’s Batman: Arkham Asylum was one of the best things I could have imagined. I mean, going around Arkham Asylum, taking down thugs and super criminals? What could be better? Only one thing. And that one thing is jumping, swinging, climbing, and zip-lining through the streets of Gotham City. And you know what gives us that? Batman: Arkham City.

We’ve seen a lot of footage from the upcoming game, but I don’t think any of the previous trailers packed the same kind of punch that the new one that focuses on The Joker does. He’s Batman’s greatest foe. He’s responsible for the takeover of Arkham Asylum, but is he responsible for the disaster that awaits The Dark Knight in Gotham’s own section of the city that’s dedicated to housing the criminally insane? Well, you’ll just have to take a look at the trailer that’s been embedded here below for your convenience.

The trailer itself showcases a lot of cut scenes from the game and sets up a bit of the story that we’ll be seeing from these arch rivals. Why are still reading this!? Watch it now!

Batman: Arkham City hits stores in your city or online for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC on October 18, 2011.

  1. I remember playing the old school 8-bit Batman game on NES when I was a kid, everything was blue & purple and you could only move in two directions while jumping off the walls to move up. I love how much video games have progressed to the point where you now have an entire city to run around in & beat up all of the villains from the Batman comic books.
