The cast of the fifth installment in the Die Hard franchise is coming together, with two new actors now jumping on board.
It’s being reported that Amaury Nolasco and Megalyn Echikunwoke have both joined the cast of the movie, which is titled A Good Day to Die Hard. They join star Bruce Willis, returning to the (hopefully once again vulgar) role of John McClane, with Spartacus: Blood and Sand star Jai Courtney co-starring as McClane’s son, Jack.
Nolasco is best known for his work on Prison Break, as well as roles in movies like 2 Fast 2 Furious, Max Payne, and Transformers. He was last seen in The Rum Diary, as well as a TV series called Work It. Echikunwoke has done work all over your TV sets, with large roles in Spyder Games, The 4400, and CSI: Miami, as well as much smaller runs on shows like 24 (as Palmer’s daughter), That ’70s Show, Raising the Bar, and 90210. She was most recently seen on Showtime’s House of Lies.
The latest chapter in the Die Hard saga will be directed by John Moore (Flight of the Phoenix, The Omen, Max Payne) and written by Skip Woods (Swordfish, Hitman, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, The A-Team). It also stars Cole Hauser (Good Will Hunting, Pitch Black) as the villain, Sebastian Koch (The Lives of Others, Black Book), and Yuliya Snigir.
A Good Day to Die Hard is currently slated for a February 14, 2013 release.
