In memory of the victims of last week’s horrific shooting massacre in Aurora, CO, during a screening of The Dark Knight Rises, the film’s composer Hans Zimmer has released an original track online to benefit the Aurora Victim Relief Fund established by Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper and the Community First Foundation. Zimmer recorded the track in London in the days following the shooting and announced its availability on his Facebook page this week.
The haunting, eight-minute-long track is called “Aurora” and you can preview it here below.
“Aurora” is available to order internationally on iTunes for $1.29. Residents of the U.S. can also purchase the track by going to the WaterTower Music website and making a minimum donation of ten cents. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Aurora Victim Relief organization.

One of the best pieces of music that I have heard…it really makes you feel for the victims and their families. Brilliant, Hans Zimmer.
