When we found out that Tony Stark’s latest armor would be the Mark XLVII in Iron Man 3, it confirmed that he created many more suits since the events of The Avengers. The latest trailer for the Shane Black-directed film confirmed that notion by displaying numerous suits. Whether or not we will see the 40 new suits in one film remains to be seen, but rather than have us guessing, the marketing team is showing us what armors we could see in the new film. Super Dinosaur #18 is just what it sets out to be: an entertaining, fun, all-ages comic book. Nothing more, nothing less. Writer/Creator Robert Kirkman tells a great story in this issue. I’m not talking about a deep, dark, depressing one, or one that will change your life or make you think from a different perspective at all. NO, if you’re looking for that, go pick up a copy of Watchmen. Or Blankets. Or anything else, because all you’ll find here is full tilt, awesome, bad ass fun! Kids of ALL ages will enjoy this, it really reminds me of some of the Marvel Star Comics from back in the day. Just cool art and a fun, fast-paced story with a great cliffhanger ending. I really admire Kirkman for giving almost every issue of this series a “to be continued…” ending. It’s nice that he respects his readership — no matter what the age — enough to do that.
