Citing “editorial interference,” series creators J.H. Williams, III and W. Haden Blackman have decided to leave one of DC’s most popular titles, Batwoman, with issue #26. This is the latest bit of drama in regards to creators walking off of DC books, including creators like Andy Diggle leaving Action Comics, Justin Jordan leaving Superboy, and Joshua Hale Fialkov leaving Green Lantern Corps, which all seemingly had to do with editorial edicts. But Batwoman has also had issues since her amazing run on Detective Comics with Greg Rucka and J.H. Williams III on creative duties. Rucka and Williams were intended to come back with a Batwoman ongoing series that was re-imagined as a zero issue tie-in to Batman Incorporated by Williams, Blackman, and Amy Reeder. This was subsequently halted and remade as a “New 52” title.

If you weren’t already convinced by the Venice Film Festival reaction, James Cameron’s thoughts, or any of the previous footage, then here is one more trailer that proves Alfonso Cuaron‘s Gravity is not to be missed. While we have seen what happens to the doomed space shuttle, this new trailer offers a little character exposition, with a particular focus on Sandra Bullock‘s Dr. Ryan Stone character. I really can’t help myself watching any of the previous trailers or clips because once is not enough. But with the film clocking in at 91 minutes, I wonder how much intense footage is actually left to enjoy. Regardless, this film will be one huge thrill ride that is filled with Cuaron’s signature long one-shot takes. Hit the jump to see the new trailer.

I’ve always likened the Paul McGann era of Doctor Who to be the transitional stage between Classic Who and Nu Who. Despite having only been in one television adventure, the McGann incarnation of the Doctor is interesting in that this 8th version of the Time Lord has had possibly more explorations in print than most of the other Doctors. Despite my praising, I also often feel that McGann got the raw end of the stick in the Whoniverse – having only had one televised adventure and never since been given a chance to make an appearance in the modern series. (Come on, Steven Moffat; let him show up in a Multi Doctor story!!!) So it was with great anticipation that I received the eighth issue of Doctor Who: Prisoners of Time, focusing on the McGann Doctor. Although it’s never specified how far along in his incarnation he is within the confines of this issue, the comic finds him arriving back in San Francisco in February 2000, to meet up with his companion from the TV movie, Grace.
