| ‘Batman: The Killing Joke’ Animated Adaptation Coming To Home Video In 2016
Warner Bros. and DC Comics announced on Friday that they will be producing three new direct-to-video animated features featuring Batman for release in 2016. With Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice poised to explode onto the big screen next March, there will no doubt be another resurgence of interest in Dark Knight-related merchandise. Among the three new animated movies coming our way next year will be an adaptation of what is arguably one of the greatest stories of the Caped Crusader ever told, Batman: The Killing Joke.

| J.H. Williams III and W. Haden Blackman Walk Off DC’s ‘Batwoman’Citing “editorial interference,” series creators J.H. Williams, III and W. Haden Blackman have decided to leave one of DC’s most popular titles, Batwoman, with issue #26. This is the latest bit of drama in regards to creators walking off of DC books, including creators like Andy Diggle leaving Action Comics, Justin Jordan leaving Superboy, and Joshua Hale Fialkov leaving Green Lantern Corps, which all seemingly had to do with editorial edicts. But Batwoman has also had issues since her amazing run on Detective Comics with Greg Rucka and J.H. Williams III on creative duties. Rucka and Williams were intended to come back with a Batwoman ongoing series that was re-imagined as a zero issue tie-in to Batman Incorporated by Williams, Blackman, and Amy Reeder. This was subsequently halted and remade as a “New 52” title.
