| Honest Trailers Presents ‘Batman: The Killing Joke’
If you’ve seen the new animated film, Batman: The Killing Joke, you know that somehow, someway, despite all the fan rage against the DCEU films, they actually managed to mess up the un-mess-up-able. Alan Moore wrote Batman: The Killing Joke in 1988, and it instantly became the most talked about and adored comics maybe of all time. It is the quintessential Batman & Joker story, featuring the Joker committing awful acts in an effort to prove to Batman that all it takes is one really bad day to make a good man go crazy. These include shooting and paralyzing Barbara Gordon, as well as the extended torture of her father. DC animated movies have long been the standard in comic animation, so when critics and fans both slammed this adaptation, it became an easy target for the gang at Screen Junkies to give it the Honest Trailers treatment. | DC Resurrects ‘Justice League Dark’ As Next Animated Feature
Last summer Warner Bros. temporarily banished their DC Comics superhero film project Justice League Dark to the bleakest depths of Development Hell following the departure of Hellboy and Pacific Rim director Guillermo del Toro. The project would have brought together the DC Universe’s strangest supernatural heroes including Swamp Thing, the Demon, Zatanna, and John Constantine, but was not intended to be part of the studio’s plans for an extended cinematic universe based on other popular DC characters. Without del Toro at the helm, the feature looked as good as finished. But although Justice League Dark might never exist as a live-action film, it looks as if we will soon be seeing it in animated form.

| ‘Batman: The Killing Joke’ Trailer: Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamill Bring Iconic Story To Animated Life
For the most part, WB’s animated take on DC heroes has had PG-13 tones, but the upcoming adaptation of Batman: The Killing Joke will receive an R-rating. Based on the Alan Moore and Brian Bolland‘s famous comic book storyline of the same name, the animated direct-to-video feature will be close to its source and have voice actors Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill reprising their roles as Batman and The Joker, respectively. Now a new trailer has appeared showing us just how close the animated feature will be to its storyline. Check it out below.

| ‘Batman: The Killing Joke’ Animated Adaptation Coming To Home Video In 2016
Warner Bros. and DC Comics announced on Friday that they will be producing three new direct-to-video animated features featuring Batman for release in 2016. With Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice poised to explode onto the big screen next March, there will no doubt be another resurgence of interest in Dark Knight-related merchandise. Among the three new animated movies coming our way next year will be an adaptation of what is arguably one of the greatest stories of the Caped Crusader ever told, Batman: The Killing Joke.
