| Most Epic Canned Beans Commercial Ever Involves Space, An Alien, Silliness (Video)
As the week comes to a close and we prepare for the chaos of Christmas week, it felt like a good time for a little something silly. A video has been making its way around the ‘net for the past week or so, and if you haven’t seen it yet, you’re in for a treat. It’s a most epic fake commercial for canned beans that’s set in space. It involves astronauts on the moon, an unexpected guest, and a (possibly) unexpected ending. But the video wasn’t just made for fun, it’s actually a demo by a company called Cinesite to show off their creature animation skills. This isn’t a company trying to get in the game though; they’ve already done work on numerous blockbuster projects including Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, John Carter, Skyfall, Iron Man 3, and World War Z. You can see their faux beans commercial below.

When you have a world as expansive as the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you have a plethora of characters at your disposal. Heroes and villains can be in the solo films, but they can also be in the ensemble ones like The Avengers: Age Of Ultron. Joss Whedon‘s upcoming sequel will feature Ultron, a sentient robot who will have a brand new origins story never introduced in the comics. But there is a rumor now that The Avengers will have to contend with another villain. One of which comes from a faction we have seen before. The rumor is that Hydra leader Baron Von Strucker is the film’s second villain. Described as a character who is in his 40s-50s, Strucker is a physically augmented human being who appears to be ageless. Though he has died more times than anyone can count, the Nazi officer has risen from the dead just as much, and vowed to rule the world or wipe it out via genocide. And apparently he won’t be alone. Hit the jump to see who Disney/Marvel is interested in filling the role, and which characters will join him in his fight against The Avengers.

| Movie Review: Saving Mr. Banks |

Saving Mr. Banks
Director: John Lee Hancock
Writers: Kelly Marcel, Sue Smith
Cast: Emma Thompson, Tom Hanks, Paul Giamatti, Jason Schwartzman, Bradley Whitford, Colin Farrell, B.J. Novak
Walt Disney Pictures
Rated PG-13 | 125 Minutes
Release Date: December 20, 2013 Directed by John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side), Saving Mr. Banks centers on the life of Mary Poppins author P.L. Travers (Emma Thompson), shifting between 1907 with her childhood in Queensland, Australia, the 1961 negotiations with Walt Disney (Tom Hanks), and the subsequent making of Mary Poppins. While in California for filming, Travers has flashbacks to her difficult childhood in Australia with her sweet but self-destructive father (Colin Farrell), the inspiration for her story’s patriarch, Mr. Banks. Some film critics, like the immortal Leonard Maltin, have called Saving Mr. Banks “a charming and heartwarming piece of entertainment, highlighted by a handful of superior performances.” I, on the other hand, would call it a nauseating, sentimental piece of corporate propaganda about an anti-Semite and a very British – and very bitchy – author who may or may not be a crazy person.
