| Massive Metal Monday: “Gotta Let Go” By Lita Ford
A lot of people counted out the gals from The Runaways when Kim Fowley’s manufactured girl group split entered in the late 70s. But those people had not taken notice of the considerable forces that are Joan Jett and Lita Ford. By 1984, singer/guitarist Jett had already established herself as the queen of a new generation of female rockers and lead guitarist Lita Ford was reinventing herself as a sultry heavy metal goddess who would give all of the male axe-slingers a run for their money throughout the golden age of the guitar hero. | ‘Star Trek’ Gingerbread U.S.S. Enterprise Recreation (Photos)
Although the Christmas season is winding down now, before we head into the new year, we thought we’d share with you this awesome gingerbread recreation of the U.S.S. Enterprise starship from Star Trek that Blackmarket Bakery created and displayed at their shop in Costa Mesa, CA. Check out some of the photos here below of the gingerbread recreation, which shows the Federation starship NCC-1701 hovering in the air while firing a peppermint candy cane laser down onto a cookie surface.

| Christmas Prank: NJ Exit Sign Changed To ‘Clark Griswold’ Of ‘Vacation’
Over the Christmas holiday, a prankster changed an exit sign on New Jersey’s Garden State Parkway to the name of Chevy Chase’s character in the National Lampoon’s Vacation films, according to NBC New York. Someone used tape to doctor up the “Clark/Westfield” highway exit sign to read “Clark Griswold,” the name of the patriarch of the vacations-gone-array comedy films, including 1989’s Christmas Vacation.

It’s a brand new year and with it comes a new group of additions to Netflix Instant! There’s a bunch being added to Netflix’s streaming service, so I’m here to give you some recommendations from their new offerings in movies and television series. Some of my favorite picks include Friends (the entire series!!!), Mean Girls, Wayne’s World 2, and Bruce Almighty. There’s plenty more, but below are some of my favorite picks for the month.
