From 30 Rock producers Tina Fey and Robert Carlock comes Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, a new Netflix comedy series starring Ellie Kemper from The Office.
Netflix released the first trailer today for the new series; watch it here below!
Kemper brings to life another bubbly, clueless yet lovable character in Kimmy Schmidt, a woman who spent 15 years in an underground bunker with a doomsday cult who decides to start her life over in New York City after she’s rescued. A classic fish-out-of-water tale, which also stars 30 Rock‘s Jane Krakowski as the Manhattan socialite that hires Kimmy to be her children’s nanny.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt comes to Netflix on March 6, 2015.
The series, which is produced by Universal TV, was originally set to air midseason on NBC before passing it on to Netflix last November with a two-season order.
From “30 Rock” executive producers, Tina Fey and Robert Carlock comes this hilarious new comedy series starring Ellie Kemper (“The Office,” “Bridesmaids”) as a woman who is rescued from a doomsday cult and starts life over as a nanny for an Upper East Side socialite (Jane Krakowski from “30 Rock”) in New York City. Armed with just a backpack, light-up sneakers and a couple way-past-due library books, she takes on a world she didn’t think even existed anymore.
