Just yesterday, we saw the debut of a brand new ensemble poster for Avengers: Age of Ultron. Like most of the marketing for these films, when it comes to superhero epics, there also must be character posters. And now the first character poster has dropped online, courtesy of star Robert Downey Jr.
The actor revealed his Tony Stark/Iron Man poster, which if you take a closer look, looks somewhat incomplete. It appears to be that this is only one piece of a larger set – which follows in the footsteps of the Comic-Con banner.
As simple as some character posters are, having them act as one piece of a larger set makes for a much more interesting poster. So we’ll just have to see if this is what the marketing is going for. Hit the jump to see the full character poster for Iron Man.

The poster was revealed today on Robert Downey Jr.’s Twitter account.
Now, as you can see, Downey is enticing us with news that something big is going to be happening in eight days. It would be too easy to assume that it would be the final trailer before the film is released. But what would be interesting about such a trailer is that we could finally get our first look at Vision. The character has gone unseen for almost the entire length of the marketing, and has had his back turned or has had his figure blurred out by the sun on images so far.
Directed by Joss Whedon, Avengers: Age of Ultron also stars Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Cobie Smulders, James Spader, and Samuel L. Jackson. It opens in theaters on May 1, 2015.

As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.
Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” stars Robert Downey Jr., who returns as Iron Man, along with Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk. Along the way, they confront two mysterious and powerful newcomers, Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen, and Pietro Maximoff, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and meet an old friend in a new form when Paul Bettany becomes Vision. Written and directed by Joss Whedon and produced by Kevin Feige, Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series “The Avengers,” first published in 1963.
