What a fantastic episode! Brooklyn Nine-Nine was a clear winner this week. The one-liners had me cackling very two minutes. Jake (Andy Samberg) and Boyle (Jo Lo Truglio) were on the DeAngelo case – four mob guys stole 21 million dollars. They went to prison, but the money was never found. They are all out of jail, and now they are dying one at a a time. Jake believes the killer will lead them to the money. Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) believes that his arch nemesis, Madeline Wuntch (guest star Kyra Sedgewick), is looking for him to fail. It is quite surprising (and kinda sad) when we find out her ulterior motive.
The opening scene is so great. Nope – not telling you. Watch it!
There are code names: Deathblade (Jake), Sidewinder (Charles), and… you have to watch to get Captain Holt’s. Jake’s awesome face reflected my feelings!
Of course, through it all, there’s a chopper – an actual chopper is used and called as such to everyone’s delight. Ok, just me, Jake, and Boyle.
The other story was Terry (Terry Crews) hosting a school trip. The school happens to be the one his twins, Cagney and Lacey (I know) are trying to get into. He has to leave the class alone with Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz), Santiago (Melissa Fumero), and Gina (Chelsea Peretti). Hilarity ensues.
My Gina was a star again, solving a middle school drama crisis like the pro that she is.
“Also, and more importantly, I got Mackenzie and Brianna to stop hating on Kelsey S., and now they’re best friends. Your welcome.”
Oh and you have to watch to hear this:
Terry: “Rosa, I should have listened to you.”
Rosa: “Yah. Everyone should listen to me all the time about everything.”
Awesome name for Jake’s memoir: “Go Ahead, Jake My Day”
Brooklyn Nine-Nine airs Sunday nights at 8:30pm ET on FOX.
