Last week, on The Flash “Grodd Lives,” there were movie ape references galore (by Cisco – Carlos Valdes), as Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh) sent the meta-gorilla after them (after some luring), to distract from the real plan, getting Eobard Thawne back home. Eddie (Rick Cosnett) acted as plot device, as he and Thawne talked (or didn’t talk) about things to come. He did show Eddie the “Iris West-Allen” thing. He was less clear about the details of HIS actual plans. Grodd used mind control to grab and scare Joe (Jesse L. Martin).

And Iris (Candice Patton) finally started being a part of the team. So happy she finally knows. I mean, everybody else did. I’m glad it was just her material and not the actress, because she was my least favorite until now.

The Flash 1.22 “Rogue Air” review: Peek-A-Boo! They are still looking for Wells and Eddie, hitting dead end after dead end. That is – until the particle accelerator is reactivated, and Barry realizes they’ve been in the building the whole time. The metas are in danger because the accelerator will destroy them in 36 hours. Barry is desperate. He pulls an Oliver Queen and goes to a bad guy for help. It is the perfect excuse to bring back Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Lisa Snart (Peyton List) aka Golden Glider (Cisco names her this episode). And they really bring the fun. But where’s Heatwave (Dominic Purcell)?

Lisa Snart flirts outrageously with Cisco. He reacts perfectly. He needs a real girl. Her with him made me giddy. I cannot emphasize how much their interaction pleased me.

“Really not enjoying being a good guy this week.”

They decide to move the metas to Lian Yu (Oliver Queen’s island), which will serve as a Gitmo for metas. Come on! You know that is not going to be a smooth transfer. As expected…

Crossover alert! Barry goes to face Wells, and is joined by Firestorm (Robbie Amell) and Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) with dramatic flourish. I love the way Firestorm walks.

Only hiccup was that this was an inadvertent Arrow spoiler. I think Arrow has an inadvertent Flash spoiler as well. So although I advised my sister to watch Arrow first and then watch her DVR’d The Flash, now I think (not sure) there’s spoilers on both, so it really doesn’t matter.

The Flash season finale airs next Tuesday at 8pm on The CW.

Rogue Air (Ep# 122)
STEPHEN AMELL, ROBBIE AMELL, WENTWORTH MILLER, LIAM MCINTYRE AND DOUG JONES GUEST STAR — As Wells (Tom Cavanagh) once again gets the upper hand on the S.T.A.R. Labs team, Barry (Grant Gustin) realizes he needs to make a big move and reaches out to an old foe, Captain Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller), for help. Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) warn Barry that Cold can’t be trusted. True to form, Cold has his own agenda that involves the meta-humans trapped in the containment cells. As things seem to be going from bad to worse, The Flash gets reinforcements — Arrow (guest star Stephen Amell) and Firestorm (guest star Robbie Amell). Doug Aarniokoski directed the episode written by Aaron Helbing & Todd Helbing (#122). Original airdate 5/12/2015.
