The ingenious part of Marvel’s Shared Universe is that the marketing team can have fun and find creative ways to market each film, whether it involves the solo ones or the ensemble ones. Their latest effort turns its attention to the upcoming Ant-Man.
But for one of the more obscure heroes of the MCU, how would the marketing team make sure that audiences know that Ant-Man exists in it. Well one way is having him do some tiny cameos on the Avengers’ signature weaponry. Check out some of the cool posters below.
It’s fun to see the marketing team mix it up a bit by having Ant-Man appear on Thor’s Hammer, Cap’s Shield, and on top of Iron Man’s shoulder, especially since the floating head poster got the typical negative reaction. It should be interesting to see if he will appear on any other Avengers weapons, but considering that Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America all have their own films, it’s unlikely that we will see any additional posters like these. One can hope though.
Co-written by Adam McKay, based on a story written by Edgar Wright, and Joe Cornish, Ant-Man stars Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Michael Pena, and more. It is directed by Peyton Reed. The film opens in theaters on July 17.
