Fall approaches ever closer, and my DC dominated television life has never been more exciting. One of the most exciting prospects is DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The Arrow/Flash spinoff, grabbing characters from both worlds to this one that transcends both time and worlds. Falk Hentschel has been tapped to play Hawkman – first in a series of Arrow and The Flash crossovers, then in Legends of Tomorrow when it premieres midseason.
More on that below.
With Ciara Renee cast as Hawkgirl (seen briefly in The Flash season finale), sparks will fly (hopefully) as Hawkman and she are soulmates, reincarnated throughout time, destined to be wth each other. As in all comics, there are different incarnations of characters. This Hawkman will be Carter Hall, reincanated Egyptian Prince, who has the powers of “the hawk god, Horus.”
Besides Renee, Hentschel will join Caity Lotz and Brandon Routh from Arrow, and Victor Garber, Wentworth Miller, and Dominic Purcell from The Flash. Also starring is Dr. Who‘s Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter.
