Doctor Who
Season 9, Episode 11 “Heaven Sent”
Directed by Rachel Talalay
Written by Steven Moffat
Starring Peter Capaldi, Jenna Coleman, Jami Reid-Quarrell
BBC America
Air date: Saturday, November 28, 2015 WARNING: SPOILERS for Season 9 of Doctor Who… This week on Doctor Who, Episode 9.11 “Heaven Sent,” we are forced to consider the myths of Prometheus, the Greek Titan. In an episode featuring only three actors, the Doctor is trapped in a prison apparently designed to both punish and tantalize him. A method of escape apparently exists, but it comes at a horrible price. It is a beautifully atmospheric piece of Gothic horror with a clockwork castle, an amorphous death-like adversary, and plenty of chills that bite deeply enough to hit bone.

Once Upon a Time
Season 5 Episodes 10: “Broken Heart”
Directed by Romeo Tirone
Written by Dana Horgan & Tze Chun
Created by Edward Kitsis, Adam Horowitz
Starring Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Morrison, Lana Parrilla, Josh Dallas, Emilie de Ravin, Colin O’Donoghue, Jared Gilmore, Robert Carlyle, Sean Maguire, Rebecca Mader
ABC
Air Date: Sunday, November 29th, 2015, 8:00pm Two weeks ago on Once Upon A Time, there was tons of excitement, as Emma (Jennifer Morrison) made Zelena’s (Rebecca Mader) pregnancy speed up so she would go into labor. It’s a girl! The super exciting part for me was David Anders return as Dr. Frankenstein, but I guess Emma stealing Zelena (and not the baby like everyone thought), was exciting too. Turns out Emma wanted to put all the dark magic in Zelena, and then cut her down. Hook, as dastardly as he is, could not participate in that. To return the favor, Zelena showed Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) what Emma really did in Camelot. Hook was dying, so Emma tethered him to Excalibur, making him a dark one. And then there were two. But he hates her for it. The second half was a Merida (Amy Manson) story, where she needed to find a magical helmet before Arthur and Zelena does – one that will make men do her bidding. She finds out Arthur was the one to kill her father, and we get the return of Ruby and Mulan (Meghan Ory and Jamie Chung), her quest buddies. Spoilers below.

Starz
Air date: Saturday, November 28th, 2015, 9pm Warning: Spoilers for Ash vs Evil Dead… On Ash vs Evil Dead, Ash went on a Brujo-infused acid trip, which ended up looking like one a Bruce Campbell Old Spice commercial. His trip allows him to see things clearly”¦ like the fact that the demon Eligos has possessed Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo). Unfortunately, Brujo (Hemky Madera) and Pablo (Ray Santiago) think it’s the reverse and knock Ash out, tying him up for an exorcism. As this is going on at Brujo’s, Ruby (Lucy Lawless) and Fisher (Jill Marie Jones) are in hot pursuit with a secret weapon pointing them in the right direction: Ash’s original severed demon hand!

The Walking Dead
Episode 6.8 “Start to Finish”
Directed by Michael E. Satrazemis
Written by Matthew Negrete
Starring Andrew Lincoln, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Lauren Cohen, Steven Yeun, Norman Reedus, Chandler Riggs, Michael Cudlitz, Lennie James
AMC
Air date: Sunday, November 29, 2015, 9pm Warning – SPOILERS for The Walking Dead Season 6″¦ Seriously”¦”¦”¦ SPOILERS”¦”¦ Episode 6.8, “Start To Finish,” is the mid-season finale of The Walking Dead, which means we’ll have to wait till February to find out what happened to the residents of the Alexandria Safe Zone after the latest Walker attack. Because AMC loves to torture us. The Alexandria Safe Zone was supposed to be a piece of paradise inside the hell on earth that exists in the post-apocalyptic Walking Dead universe. But, as Tara and Rosita say in this episode, a place like this comes with a price. Many have died already, and now, it seems that their existence at the Safe Zone might, in fact, be “over.” Rick and his group have gone from place to place trying to find a real home to settle in: First, it was their crude encampment with the RV. Then there was Hershel’s idyllic farm, but it wasn’t a stronghold. The Governor infiltrated the confines of the Prison, and the too-good-to-be-true Terminus turned out to be a cannibal holocaust. The Alexandria Safe Zone was supposed to be their final destination, a true safe haven that was protected against the walkers, as well as a throwback to life before the dead began rising. But, that throwback proved to be a little too much comfort. Without a common enemy to fight (i.e., the Walkers), the Alexandrians got caught up in too much drama. It seems as though the residents let their human squabbles blind them to the point where they forgot that the end of the world had come, and the time for such trivialities was long passed.
