By now, if you haven’t seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens yet, then you’re likely to this weekend. And when you do, you’ll hear the familiar sounds of John Williams‘ score, which incorporates snippets of the original Star Wars trilogy, along with new compositions.
While the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is currently available for purchase on CD and MP3 (and soon on vinyl, too), you can hear the entire score right now for free.
Listen to the entire Star Wars: The Force Awakens here below!
The soundtrack is streaming for free via Spotify. Unlike previous soundtracks, this one doesn’t have spoilery track titles, although, from what I’ve seen, even saying that you liked the new movie is considered a “spoiler” (get a grip, people!).
Anyhow, it’s a great movie and a great score that will definitely give you the original trilogy feels. Listen for free while you can, and enjoy.
Also, see here below an unused 8-minute segment from J.J. Abrams’ interview with CBS’s 60 Minutes, which centers on John Williams working on the score. As Abrams says in hte interview, Williams, who composed the music for all the previous Star Wars feature films, “knows how to make your heart soar like no one else.”
Not surprisingly, we’ve been talking a lot about The Force Awakens (and will continue to do so for a long time), so be sure to check out our various review’s of the film: Adam’s Review, Mike’s Review, Dwayne’s Review.
