There’s still a couple of weeks before the return of The Flash on January 19th, and this little gem almost slipped by me during the holidays. After a crazy crossover with Arrow, and then a Trixter-y, Weather-y episode that ended with a really nice Christmas for the Wests, because of the return of long lost son, Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale – Insurgent), everyone needed a slight breather from the Zoom problem. Looks like that breather is over.

Our gang is headed to Earth-2! Squeee!!!

When we left off last season, we saw Harry (Tom Cavanagh) agree to betray Barry (Grant Gustin) in order to get his daughter back from Zoom. This is heartbreaking on two fronts – Barry is just starting to believe in this Wells. And Harry is really a better person than his dead Earth-1 counterpart. He is genuinely regretful about this choice (no choice).

The trailer “flashes” through some moments, but I think we see Earth-2 Iris (Candice Patton), who wears glasses and a bun. Caitlyn (Danielle Panabaker) likes being bad, and looks like our favorite iZombie, Liv Moore, as Killer Frost. There’s a glimpse of Eobard Thawne, although it’s not clear from when, where, or what he is doing. Joe (Jesse L. Martin) schools Wally on seasons 1 and the first half of 2. Patty (Shantel VanSanten) gets kidnapped by Zoom. My Cisco (Carlos Valdes) looks around in awe, but you just know he is going to deliver the fun in Earth-2. Barry stands in front of a wall that says, “Free and Just Society” – Justice Society!!!

The Flash returns Tuesday, January 19th at 8:00pm ET on The CW.
