| ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Destroys Records, As Expected
Everyone knew that when Star Wars: The Force Awakens finally arrived in theaters it was going to be a monster. This past weekend that arrival happened, and a monster it surely is. The box office numbers are in, and The Force Awakens went ahead and claimed some records to kick things off. Back in June, Jurassic World surprised all by taking off like a rocket on its way to breaking The Avengers‘ $207.4 million domestic opening record with a $208.8 million debut, leading Marvel to send along congratulations. Now, Marvel and Universal can both prepare a congratulatory card, maybe a nice fruit basket, for the new Star Wars, which threw down an unbelievable $248 million domestic opening. This should be easy for Marvel, as they reside in the same house owned by a certain mouse with the new record holder.

| Original ‘Star Wars’ Trilogy Re-Imagined As Old-School Video Games
The celebration of all things Star Wars with the release of The Force Awakens this weekend continues! As part of their 8-Bit Cinema series, CineFix is taking on the entire original Star Wars trilogy, re-imagining the movies in the same style as old school video games. But instead of doing all three movies all in the same style, the cool thing about this video is that you’ll see various 8-bit and 16-bit games being used as inspiration such as The Legend of Zelda, Mega Man, and more. Going into Star Wars: The Force Awakens, I tried to forget all I knew about the highly anticipated film, including all the rumors of plots, characters, and cameos. So, it wasn’t until after I saw the movie in IMAX 3D that I took a look back at what rumors turned out to be true, as well as where those reported cameos and other roles showed up. Here’s a look a some of the familiar faces, and some hidden ones as well, that showed up in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. And obviously, this will contain spoilers for the film.
