Conan the Barbarian Star Wars Lightsaber

Everyone is in the Star Wars spirit right now…maybe even more so than those who are in the holiday season spirit. That’s thanks in part to unseasonably warm temperatures and lack of snow for some, but it says a whole lot about how big a new movie in the franchise is.

Among the masses currently enjoying Star Wars fever with the release of The Force Awakens and out seeing the movie once or twice or ten times this weekend, Arnold Schwarzenegger decided to share a video of his Conan the Barbarian character testing out his own lightsaber. And it is a big ol’ ‘saber, fitting for Conan.

The video is actually oddly soothing to watch as Conan swings his glowing blade to familiar music, and you can check it out below.

Galavant Season 2 Header

Last year, ABC brought us an epic 4-episode run of a new musical adventure comedy, Galavant. It was funny, the songs were catchy, and the guest stars were a-plenty; Ricky Gervais, John Stamos, Rutger Hauer, and “Weird” Al Yankovic to name a few. Now the show is returning with an even epic-er 5-episode second season.

Watch the hilarious musical preview below.

‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’: A Spoiler-Free Review

Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams

I can solidly state that Star Wars: The Force Awakens includes nearly everything a Star Wars fan loved about the Original Trilogy (1977), while leaving out much of what was problematic about the Prequel Trilogy (1999).

In many ways, The Force Awakens feels a tad like a remake or reboot of the first film, 1977’s A New Hope. At its heart — during the new and dark time in which it takes place, the new characters very literally represent just that — a new hope and much needed new energy to fight the antagonists we face: The First Order, a dastardly remnant of the failed Galactic Empire. Little guys versus well-armed baddies? Definitely familiar territory, but here and now, 38 years after the debut of the original films, that’s a good thing.

Tom Clancy's The Division Live-Action Trailer

It’s hard to believe that Tom Clancy’s The Division is only a few months away from being released (at least at the moment). Though anyone who was overwhelmed by how incredible it looked when we first saw it is now very much skeptical of it being anywhere near that good due to games like Watch Dogs, hopes are still high for some that it will be a fun game overall. But that’s a discussion for another day.

For now, Ubisoft has released a brand new trailer for the game. It’s a live-action trailer dubbed “Silent Night” with a nice Christmas theme to go with the season…though don’t expect much merriment to come from watching it. You can check out the trailer below.
