Teasers for trailers are very commonplace right now. It isn’t so much of an actual teaser, these are more like trailer announcements. The practice can be a bit irritating to some, but without them, we wouldn’t know that the first trailer for Gareth Edward’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will drop tomorrow morning on ABC’s Good Morning America.

Now, as for footage, all you really see and hear are the distinctive Tie Fighter sounds and an image of what looks like a cross between a Stormtrooper and a Tie Fighter, with an inferno blazing in the background. There’s also a moisture vaporator in the background as well.

Rogue One will center on a group of resistance fighters who rally together to steal the plans to the Death Star, a battle station unlike anyone has ever seen. Gareth Edwards (Godzilla) directs the film using a script written by Chris Weitz based on a story by Gary Whitta.

While basic plot points have been revealed, it has been rumored that Darth Vader will make an appearance in the film and that Mads Mikkelsen is a scientist who is in charge of constructing the Death Star and ends up defecting to the Rebel Alliance. Ben Mendelsohn is also rumored to be playing a villain. There are also rumors that the film will bring back Peter Cushing’s character, Grand Moff Tarkin, through the magic of CGI, though that has yet to be confirmed.

Felicity Jones will play the lead female character who is tasked with taking her band of rebels to steal the plans. Diego Luna, Forest Whitaker, Donnie Yen, Alan Tudyk, and Riz Ahmed also star.

The trailer announcement was made on the Star Wars YouTube page. While the trailer will air exclusively on GMA, we will have it posted for you as soon as it hits the internet.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is set to open in theaters on December 16, 2016.
