Netflix has announced the official release date for Iron Fist, the fourth of their Marvel series.
The show follows the previously released Daredevil, which is already through two seasons, Jessica Jones, and the latest, the recently released Luke Cage. Also coming at some point is The Punisher after the fan-favorite character’s appearance in season two of Daredevil, and The Defenders miniseries bringing the various characters together.
You can watch the video revealing when your next Marvel TV binge is happening below.
The video doesn’t show anything, sadly. It’s simply here to announce the release date. But if you were hoping for some footage and missed the first teaser trailer for Iron Fist released during San Diego Comic-Con 2016, you can give that a watch here as well.
Game of Thrones star Finn Jones will play Danny Rand/Iron Fist. Also starring is Jessica Henwick (Game of Thrones, Star Wars: The Force Awakens) as Colleen Wing, Lewis Tan (10,000 Days, Mortal Kombat: Legacy) as Zhou Cheng, David Wenham (The Lord of the Rings, 300) as Harold Meachum, Jessica Stroup (The Following, 90210) as Joy Meachum, and Tom Pelphrey (Banshee, Guiding Light) as Ward Meachum. Scott Buck (Dexter, Six Feet Under) acts as showrunner.
Billionaire Danny Rand (Finn Jones) returns to New York City after being missing for years, trying to reconnect with his past and his family legacy. He fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.
