Thor Mockumentary

While Captain America and Iron Man were engaged in a Civil War with each other, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) took some downtime before Thor: Ragnarok to relax a little and mingle with humans. We saw a little bit of that in a mockumentary that was released during the San Diego Comic-Con last year. In it, we saw Thor being a terrible roommate to Darryl. But what has happened since then?

Well, apparently Thor hasn’t been doing his part to help Darryl pay the rent. All of that is covered in a brand new mockumentary that can be seen on the upcoming Doctor Strange Blu-ray release. Check out the video below.

The video is titled “Team Thor: Part 2.” In it, we see the continuing adventures of Thor failing to come up with his portion of the rent and refusing to get a real job. Well, actually, he is paying the rent, but with Asgardian coins that are apparently worth a gazillion dollars. Of course, that doesn’t help Darryl as he is unable to exchange it for actual currency. Then there is the fact that Thor doesn’t want to get a real job. He thinks saving the planet is his job, and mocks his roommate’s job saying “knowledge is not power.” He then says his muscles (are those even real?) are power. But he isn’t necessarily wrong when he says the brain is muscle.

The video acts more like a tease of what’s to come. Considering that the first one ran at nearly three and a half minutes, it’s likely that there is more footage of these two bickering in their tiny flat. We’ll just have to wait and see. In addition to that, there is a small chance that we could see Darryl again. Ragnarok director Taika Waititi has hinted that the character is part of a bigger thing. What that thing is, though, is unclear.

Doctor Strange is available for Digital Download now, and will be released on Blu-ray February 28, 2017. Thor: Ragnarok opens in theaters November 3, 2017.
