This coming weekend, TV’s superest heroes and baddest villains are showing up in our area for Heroes and Villain FanFest (HVFF to those in the know). The fan convention serves as a bridge to New York Comic-Con, which hits the Javits Center in NYC for four days in early October. HVFF allows fans all the amenities of Comic-Con on a smaller scale in a more intimate setting. Emanating from the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, New Jersey, HVFF brings the stars of TV’s Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Gotham, amongst others, for panel discussions, autographs, photo-ops and of course, cosplay.
Arrow star Stephen Amell headlines the weekend, appearing on Sunday. He is joined by countless other stars, such as John Barrowman, Ming Na, Caity Lotz, Candice Patton (Iris West of The Flash), Brandon Routh, iZombie‘s Rose McIver, David Mazouz (Gotham‘s Bruce Wayne), and more.
Other than meeting your favorite celebrities, HVFF will feature tons of vendors selling everything the geek crowd will enjoy, including t-shirts, comics, original artwork, toys, games, jewelry, etc. The convention floor opens at 10:30am on Saturday 9/16 and Sunday 9/17 (9:00am for VIP ticket holders) and is open until 6pm and 5pm, respectfully. Fans will also get a chance to hear from the guests in panels running throughout the weekend. The stars of Gotham, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Arrow will hold panels Saturday with featured guest Arrow himself, Stephen Amell hitting the stage Sunday at 12:30pm. Sunday will also feature a cosplay contest.
With the Fall season getting ready to start for many of these shows, you can get the exclusive news and previews from the stars themselves! Find out more about HVFF at the website heroesfanfest.com/newyork.
