The first weekend in June means that BookExpo and BookCon descends upon the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City. Every year, publishers, large and small, hawk their wares and mingle with educators, librarians, media, authors, and all readers.

Besides thousands and thousands of books everywhere you look (some free and some very cheap), there are tons of panels, author signings, activities, giveaways, and much more.

In Family HQ, there is face painting, hair braiding, clay pie making, arts and crafts, and cartoons.

There are still tickets available for BookCon for Sunday, June 3, 2018.
