Almost one year ago, we found out that a live-action Swamp Thing series was in the works for DC’s streaming service DC Universe.
Now a teaser trailer has been released for the series, which is based on the DC characters written and drawn by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson. And if you’re a fan of horror, it’s something you’re definitely going to want to see.
You can check out the trailer below, along with a brief synopsis and a reveal video that was shared last week.
SYNOPSIS:
SWAMP THING follows Abby Arcane as she investigates what seems to be a deadly swamp-born virus in a small town in Louisiana but soon discovers that the swamp holds mystical and terrifying secrets. When unexplainable and chilling horrors emerge from the murky marsh, no one is safe.
Mark Verheiden and Gary Dauberman wrote the series, and also handle showrunner duties. Aquaman and The Conjuring director James Wan executive produces.
Dauberman and Wan have worked together in the past multiple times, on Conjuring Universe titles like the recent Curse of La Llorona, Annabelle, and The Nun.
The Swamp Thing series will be premiering on DC Universe on May 31st, followed by new episodes each week.
