About a month ago we saw a teaser trailer for Swamp Thing, DC’s upcoming live-action series based on the comic book character created by writer Len Wein and artist Bernie Wrightson. The series stars Crystal Reed, Henderson Wade, Jennifer Beals, Andy Bean, Virginia Madsen, Will Patton, Maria Sten, Kevin Durand, and Derek Mears as the title character. | Teaser Trailer For Live-Action ‘Swamp Thing’ Series Released
Almost one year ago, we found out that a live-action Swamp Thing series was in the works for DC’s streaming service DC Universe. Now a teaser trailer has been released for the series, which is based on the DC characters written and drawn by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson. And if you’re a fan of horror, it’s something you’re definitely going to want to see. You can check out the trailer below, along with a brief synopsis and a reveal video that was shared last week.

| Interview: Len Wein, Long Beach Comic Con 2013As the co-creator of (among others) the Swamp Thing, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Storm, and most notably, Wolverine, Len Wein‘s imprint upon the comics universe has been huge. An artist, editor, and of course, legendary writer, Wein continues to make his mark in comics, as well as television, having worked on the critically acclaimed Batman: The Animated Series, as well as the massively popular Ben 10series. Wein’s currently involved with new work for Marvel Comics, as well as a number of other media projects. I had the opportunity to chat with this legendary comics writer during the Long Beach Comic Con. | Digital Comics Deal: Celebrate Earth Day With ‘Swamp Thing’Swamp Thing is a character who blurs the lines of regular man who looks like a monster, a straight up piece of vegetation that looks sort of like a man, and both of things but also an eco-terrorist of sorts, but no matter how you view the character, it’s impossible to deny the fact that some of the greatest writers in comics have either written him or his ancillary characters. Also, when he’s not questioning his identity, he’s a pretty eco-friendly dude. So, it’s with this fact that Comixology is offering a 99 cent three-day sale on Swamp Thing for this weekend’s Earth Day. Comixology has recently made these sales more manageable if you don’t exactly know what you’re looking for and have places different comics into sections that categorize them more efficiently than just, “Here’s a bunch of comics that are on sale.” These different sections for Swamp Thing are:
