I was going to recommend a bunch of different horror comic this week, but I changed my mind and decided to go with a more standard list, and it’s all thanks to one book out this week that refused to be ignored. Never fear though, or maybe you should fear, because I have one good horror book to direct you towards. So, get your masks on, your candy out and eat the brains of this weeks The GoD List!

Each and every week, I, “Where’s my “˜Atlantis Attacks’ movie?!?!” Henchman 21 and “Coming 2023!” Empress Eve read a lot of comics. Seriously you guys, a lot of comics. Maybe too many comics. I mean, it is possible”¦ theoretically. Naturally, we look forward to some more than others. I mean, who doesn’t? So, let’s take a look into the depths of our pull lists, grab some comics, and we’ll let YOU know what the top books to look forward to are for the week of October 15, 2014. Single issues and trades, they’re all here. After a couple of insanely busy weeks, we’ve got a chance to take a bit of a breather this week and take a look at some smaller books out this week that you may be passing up, but that you shouldn’t. I use “smaller” figuratively, as some of the books on the list this week are quite thick, and I don’t know what to tell you, but I like big books and I cannot lie. You other brothers can’t deny. And even though some knuckleheads are trying to diss, these are the books on my GoD List!

| NYCC 2014: First Trailer For Playstation TV’s ‘Powers’ |

TV rules at this year’s New York Comic-Con with a number of trailers and premieres of various shows, one of which that was shown off was the first trailer for Playstation TV’s first original series, Powers. Watch it here below. Powers, based on the comic series by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming, stars Sharlto Copley (The A-Team, District 9) as Detective Christian Walker, a former superhero turned homicide detective. He is partnered with Deena Pilgrim (Susan Heyward, recently of The Following), and they team up to investigate crimes that are related to people with powers (thus the title).
