Each and every week, I, “Ant-Man!” Henchman 21 and “The Wasp!” Empress Eve read a lot of comics. Seriously you guys, a lot of comics. Maybe too many comics. I mean, it is possible”¦ theoretically. Naturally, we look forward to some more than others. I mean, who doesn’t? So, let’s take a look into the depths of our pull lists, grab some comics, and we’ll let YOU know what the top books to look forward to are for the week of July 23, 2015. Single issues and trades, they’re all here. There are weeks when I get excited about scores of books that are being released. And then there are other weeks. This is one of those other weeks, as we get a whole batch of very good comics; Secret Wars is still rolling, DC continues to roll out new books in their most recent relaunch, IDW, Dark Horse, Image and the others pump out a fine line of books. So, we’re just going with a shorter list this week, including a long running series ending in a spectacular fashion, a book from last week that I didn’t get a chance to talk about, and a book you probably never thought you would see. Let’s get The GoD List started!

| Audiobook Review: Armada
Armada
Audio CD | Audible Edition | Hardcover | Paperback | Kindle Edition
Written by Ernest Cline
Read by Wil Wheaton
Random House Audio
Release date: July 14, 2015 Armada is the much anticipated follow-up to Ernest Cline’s first novel Ready Player One and he travels much of the same territory as his first novel. Armada is a novel that positively overflows with references to the movies and video games of the 1980’s, and Cline’s passion for the cultural items of the period can be found on every page. Cline weaves a story that feels familiar, largely because it is rooted in movies and games that you’ve seen before.

Each and every week, I, “Not at SDCC!” Henchman 21 and “Ditto!” Empress Eve read a lot of comics. Seriously you guys, a lot of comics. Maybe too many comics. I mean, it is possible”¦ theoretically. Naturally, we look forward to some more than others. I mean, who doesn’t? So, let’s take a look into the depths of our pull lists, grab some comics, and we’ll let YOU know what the top books to look forward to are for the week of July 8, 2015. Single issues and trades, they’re all here. Yes, it’s that time of year again, time for the biggest comics convention in America, even if the show has moved beyond being just about comics. But it’s okay, all comic conventions have moved past comics to one degree or another. Sorry, got off track there. It’s San Diego week, which means there are a lot of new series and big hardcovers out this week to entice buyers at the show and even those of us not at the show. In fact, it’s better for those of us not going to SDCC, because we don’t have to wait in line and then figure out how to lug all this stuff back in our luggage. So rejoice at the ease with which you can buy your comics, for it is truly a good week to celebrate comics. And celebrate we shall on this week’s The GoD List!

| Grant Morrison’s ‘Klaus’ Coming From BOOM! Studios
We’ve got roughly 6,000 new comics being announced this week and here’s one of them, so let’s get into this with Klaus, coming from Grant Morrison, uber-author extraordinaire (The Multiversity, All-Star Superman, Batman Inc). Klaus, out in November from BOOM! Studios, is an all-ages comic about the secret origins of that jolliest of saint’s, Santa Claus. Art for the series will be provided by Dan Mora.
