| Warren Ellis To Write ‘James Bond 007’ Comic For Dynamite
Warren Ellis, acclaimed writer of Planetary, Nextwave, and about a hundred other comic book series, has been announced as the writer for a new series about that most famous of British spies, James Bond. James Bond 007 will launch in November (just in time for the new movie) from Dynamite Entertainment. Art on the series will be by James Masters (Guardians of the Galaxy, Batman Incorporated). The first story arc will be six issues long and be titled “Vargr.” The story will feature Bond returning to London to follow up on work of a fellow 00 agent, only to find out a trap has been laid for him.

Single issues and trades, they’re all here. I thought I was going to have an easy list to write this week, but as I started seeing what was coming out, I had to keep adding things and adding things and adding things. It turned a shorter list into a longer list, but that just means you, the fine reader, have plenty to look forward to when you go to the store today. Single issues and trades, they’re all here. So, we’ve been away on vacation for a little while, but fear not, you can’t stop the list, you can only hope to contain it. Since we’ve been away so long, we’re going to take this chance to catch up on a few weeks’ worth of books, not just those releasing this week. It’s been a couple of good weeks, with DC’s relaunch in full effect, Marvel dropping roughly 6 billion Secret Wars tie ins, and the continual flow of excellent books from Image, Dark Horse, and others.
