Dwayne Johnson talking Black Adam for MTV UK

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is making the promotional rounds for his new movie San Andreas and the actor is never one to miss out on an opportunity to be entertaining and also take up serious discussions like “Could DC Comics’ villainous Black Adam take out Marvel Comics’ King of the Inhumans, Black Bolt?” According to Johnson, “Black Adam would crush Black Bolt.”

MTV UK was doing the interviewing that brings up the very serious subject matter and you can check out a video of it below. While the guys over at MTV think Johnson is “confused” and “adorable” about the Marvel universe. I myself can tell that The Rock is laying the sarcasm on thick.

‘Destiny has a pesky way of catching up’

For a sequel that divided the Space Monkeys, Fight Club 2 #1 is a sucker punch to the face that reminds you why you joined the club in the first place. You know which one. What? We’re all rule breakers here. Author Chuck Palahniuk being the biggest one, who after years of saying there’d never be a sequel to his breakout novel and it’s subsequent film adaptation, has crafted something real special. But with Palahniuk’s sense of humor, this continuation we’ve begged for or bemoaned may lead us to his particular brand of surprises. Like Rant’s momma who baked her meals with shards of glass and nails, Palahniuk makes you chew on every page from the start.

Letters by Thomas Mauer
Black Mask Studios
Release Date: May 27, 2015
Cover Price: $3.99

Part bounty hunter saga with nods to Alien and Firefly, The Disciples starts off with a slow build that turns into a big bang in the first issue of what may shape up to be a very exciting series.

The Disciples #1 starts with three companions heading to Ganymede, one of Jupiter’s moons. It and the other moons in the solar system have recently been colonized in a Gold Rush-style land rush. Ganymede was settled by a religious cult (that started in Florida, obviously). One of the members of this cult is the daughter of a senator, and our three heroes have been sent to bring her back. Of course, the start of their journey doesn’t go as planned, and right from the beginning they encounter one creepy-ass alien who does not seem to come in peace.

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen

Over a decade after their first attempt failed miserably (and made Sean Connery quit acting forever), 20th Century Fox is taking another crack at turning Alan Moore and Kevin O’Neill‘s classic comic book series The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen into a movie and possible franchise.

The studio has brought on John Davis – whose credits include Predator, Waterworld, I, Robot, and Chronicle – to produce the feature through his company Davis Entertainment. Also overseeing the reboot will be Ira Napoliello and Matt Reilly.

Knight Rider, Vol. 1 isn’t like any other Knight Rider you’ve seen before, and I mean that in the best of ways. Knight Rider is one of the few “cult classic” 1980s television series that hasn’t been turned into a comic series. That is, until now. Was it worth the wait? Let’s find out…
