FINALLY! We officially have a start date for Season 3 of Ash vs Evil Dead, which will consist of 10 half-hour episodes, and it is”¦ Sunday, February 25, 2018 at 9PM. This comes after Starz had been treading water on announcing an airdate despite the season being completely wrapped months ago. Fan of the blood-soaked horror comedy were in panic mode, fearing the worst after the cable network failed to advertise it over the summer. In its first two seasons, Ash vs Evil Dead had debuted on or near Halloween. The announcement became official right in time for this year’s New York Comic-Con, where the crew from AvED will take over Hammerstein Ballroom for their panel on Saturday.

For nearly three decades, a small red-haired doll has struck fear (and laughs) into the hearts of horror fans. Chucky is a “Good Guy Doll” and he’s you’re “friend till the end.” Of course, he’s likely to cause this end. Possessed by a voodoo curse from serial killer Charles Lee Ray, Chucky debuted back in 1988’s Child’s Play, written by Don Mancini, and starring/voicing Oscar nominee Brad Dourif as the main antagonist. Now six films and 30 years later, Chucky packed out room 1A06 last night at this year’s New York Comic-Con promoting the latest film, Cult of Chucky, out on Blu-ray this week.

It’s that special time of year again, New York Comic-Con has arrived. Running through Sunday, the annual event once contained to the Jacob Javits Convention Center now sprawls across Manhattan. Professional Day opened at 9:30 AM at the New York Public Library located at 5th avenue and 42nd Street and events are also emanating from the theater at Madison Square Garden and Hammerstein Ballroom. I spent most of Day 1 located at Hammerstein with the gang from IFC’s Stan Against Evil. The horror comedy begins its second season on November 1st, and creator, writer, and producer Dana Gould as well as stars Janet Varney (Evie) and Stan himself, John C. McGinley took the stage to entertain the crowd.

| NYCC 2016 Interview: ‘Trollhunters’ Cast & Creators |

There’s been a lot of buzz surrounding the new Netflix/DreamWorks/Cha Cha Cha Films original animated series Trollhunters, created by visionary director, producer, and writer Guillermo del Toro (Pacific Rim, Hellboy, Pan’s Labyrinth, The Hobbit, et.al.). On Saturday, October 8, del Toro sat down with Geeks Of Doom at New York Comic-Con to tease the show alongside co-executive producers Rodrigo Blaas (WALL-E) and Marc Guggenheim (Arrow), as well as actors Kelsey Grammer (Frasier), Ron Perlman (Hellboy), Charlie Saxton (Betas), and Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead). The protagonist, Jim Lake Jr., is voiced by the late Anton Yelchin, who was spoken of and honored during the roundtable discussion. Geeks Of Doom’s own Sarah Pfeffer and Athena Costanza Torkel were both in the room for an exclusive look at Trollhunters, which is based on the book co-authored by del Toro. The show premiered after the interview in a special panel, and the cast enjoyed the episode side-by-side with fans for the first time. Read what the cast and creators had to say, and check out exclusive photos from the interview here below.

After a few years of going to SDCC and then due to work and tickets being almost impossible to get, took a few years off, this year I was lucky enough to get a 4-day pass to NYCC. So, I packed my bags and headed to New York. I took tons of photos at the Con of the convention floor, panels, and, of course, the cosplay. Check it out here below in the image galleries. For the most part, my whole time at New York Comic-Con focused around Doctor Who and other BBC America shows. I got to see a panel with a decent Q&A with Matt Smith, Jenna Coleman, and Alex Kingston talking about their time on Doctor Who. I was also able to make it to The Theater at Madison Square Garden for the BBC America showcase, including a early screening of Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, which I really enjoyed and will be watching once the season starts in a few weeks. I followed that with a Class and Doctor Who panels, giving us little teases of the upcoming series and the Christmas Special for Doctor Who, all about the super heroes.
