| ‘Wendy’: Official Trailer For ‘Beasts Of The Southern Wild’ Director’s ‘Peter Pan’ Re-Imagining Released
Fox Searchlight has released an official trailer for Wendy, which is described as a wild re-imagining of the Peter Pan tale. The movie comes from Benh Zeitlin, who previously directed 2012’s Beasts of the Southern Wild. In fact, that was his last film. Which is a bit strange considering it was nominated for four Academy Awards, including Best Picture and two for Zeitlin for Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay. But whatever the reason, he’s finally back with this project. Continue below to check out the trailer for Wendy and more.

Last Christmas
Director: Paul Feig
Writer: Bryony Kimmings, Emma Thompson
Cast: Emilia Clarke, Henry Golding, Emma Thompson, Michelle Yeoh
Distributor: Universal Pictures
Rated PG-13| Minutes: 103
Release Date: November 8, 2019 George Michael‘s “Last Christmas” is an essential track for any Christmas playlist. And though “Last Christmas, I gave you my heart, but the very next day you gave it away / This year, to save me from tears, I’ll give it to someone special,” is a bittersweet lyric, it does play a huge role in Paul Feig‘s holiday romantic comedy Last Christmas, starring Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding. The film is breezy, tender, warm, and sweet at best, though it is a bit weighed down by its predictability. Still, looking past its flaws and embracing the cheerful hope it joyfully expresses, Last Christmas can go from essential track on any Christmas playlist to essential watching during the holiday season. Check out my review below.

Pixar has this incredible track record of releasing films that combine great storytelling with outstanding animation. For them, it’s always about the story that takes audiences to worlds they’ve never been to. Films like Inside Out and Coco have done that. And it looks like they have done it again with Soul from director Pete Docter, which stars Jamie Foxx and Tina Fey. A teaser trailer has arrived today for the film. In it, audiences will be taken to a world where our personality and souls are developed long before we step foot on this earth. And there will be some catchy music to go along with it as globally renowned musician Jon Batiste is writing original jazz music for the film and Oscar winners Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross (The Social Network) are creating an original score. Check out the trailer below.

If the Dark Universe is being reborn, I’m glad it’s through Blumhouse Productions. Producer Jason Blum has always prioritized a good story over a simple premise, and now we will get to see what he can do with The Invisible Man from director Leigh Whannell. The film will see Elisabeth Moss as a wife who escapes from her abusive husband, only to find out that he may be haunting her as an invisible man. Aldis Hodge, Storm Reid, Harriet Dyer, and Oliver Jackson-Cohen also star. Check out the trailer below.
